Raptors Basketball
Raptors Athletics Basketball is a Winter Season sport played in the Arapahoe Youth League (AYL) open to 2nd - 8th grade boys and girls who live in the Rock Canyon, Castle View or Douglas County High School feeder neighborhoods.
What To Expect
Raptors and AYL provide a great opportunity for elementary and middle school players to experience competitive basketball locally and affordably.
Included in the registration cost is a voluntary 2 night training camp that will be held in October 2023. We also prepare and support our coaches to succeed at every level of competition in order to develop your player and maximize enjoyment.
Ages/Grades
We have teams from 2nd-8th grade for boys and girls. Players should play their grade level. Play down requests are not allowed.
Season
Practices begin in early November and the playoffs are in mid-February. There will not be practices or games during Christmas break.
PRACTICES
Practices will held 2 nights per week (weekdays) at local school gyms in Castle Rock and Castle Pines area
GAMES
Games will start in mid November and will be held at middle schools in the South Denver Metro area. They will typically be held on Saturdays with a possible Friday or Sunday depending on availability.
COST
Registration fees for the 2023-24 Season are $495. Registration fees are non-refundable.
UNIFORMS
Uniforms are NOT included in the registration price. We will be using the same uniforms from the 2022/2023 season. Uniforms cost $100; include a raptors jersey & shorts.

How are rosters determined?
We strive to get every player on a team. However, there are situations when the numbers and amount of coaches don't match up the way we want. We know how difficult that situation is, so we will do everything in our power to find a roster. Also, if do you have a preferred team/coach, there is a question in the registration process to provide that information.
